By popular request, a furtherance of the Saga of TC the Stripey.

For anyone unfamiliar, this is a story of a war of attrition over the last two years waged by a fat stripey cat on the innocent and long suffering members (feline and human) of the Grumpy household. Now running at almost 3000 posts, clearly TC would give Grendel a run for his money

All literary references welcome, we've already had Shakespeare, Saki, James Thurber, The KJV bible, Judith Kerr, EM Forster, Benny Hill and of course our own Supersimkin2 (to name but a few).

Many years ago I worked as a poll clerk at a general election. A man came in to vote with a kitten sitting on his shoulder, and I immediately asked him if that was a 'pollcat'. I thought it was funny, nobody else did .

You were wasted on them. I would’ve laughed.

Eating al fresco this evening. Trying to ignore the elephant in the room thug on the table.
And then Sybil decides to join in .
No hissing or grumpiness, TC jumped when Sybil sniffed his tail.

And now TC is cleaning out the soup bowls...

I'm fine thanks. I felt the TC threads may have now passed their best before date, (and also I'm very grumpy about the photos failing to post the right way up on the new MN software).
Anyway I've enclosed a few recent (probably sideways) shots of the onnipresent beast for you.

I always enjoy the cat antics you describe

He looks like a lion in that second one.

I think of TC every time our neighbouring Bengal decides to visit. We've got two loaded water pistols ready to go in the garden which has taught him to walk away nonchalantly when he sees me but as our cats aren't so handy with nerf cannon, they are still terrorised.

Is it me, or is TC doing an army crawl in that first photo?

Poor TC. You always take the pictures at such an angle to make him appear more portly than I’m sure he is really.

TC’s a fine figure, the very picture of a gentleman cat in his prime touring the estate.
