Thug cat part 4. After all, it's not my Axminster.

By popular request, a furtherance of the Saga of TC the Stripey.

For anyone unfamiliar, this is a story of a war of attrition over the last two years waged by a fat stripey cat on the innocent and long suffering members (feline and human) of the Grumpy household. Now running at almost 3000 posts, clearly TC would give Grendel a run for his money

All literary references welcome, we've already had Shakespeare, Saki, James Thurber, The KJV bible, Judith Kerr, EM Forster, Benny Hill Shock and of course our own Supersimkin2 (to name but a few).

He must have been the inspiration for this leopard polecat in Aberdeen Grin Fun fact: leopards can't retract their claws

Many years ago I worked as a poll clerk at a general election. A man came in to vote with a kitten sitting on his shoulder, and I immediately asked him if that was a 'pollcat'. I thought it was funny, nobody else did Grin.

You were wasted on them. I would’ve laughed.

AnneKipankitoo · 16/04/2022 14:03

Beautiful photos @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats and you too , @prettybird

Eating al fresco this evening. Trying to ignore the elephant in the room thug on the table.
And then Sybil decides to join in Shock.
No hissing or grumpiness, TC jumped when Sybil sniffed his tail. Grin

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats
Your poll joke is hilarious!Easter Wink

Els1e · 20/04/2022 08:02

A bit of sunshine and everyone is relaxing. 😻 And then TC helps with the washing up. Can’t ask for more in life.

Stigsmother · 29/05/2022 14:20

Are you okay Grumpy?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 29/05/2022 15:25

I'm fine thanks. I felt the TC threads may have now passed their best before date, (and also I'm very grumpy about the photos failing to post the right way up on the new MN software).
Anyway I've enclosed a few recent (probably sideways) shots of the onnipresent beast for you.
Rest assured TC is still very much here, all day, every day 😹

Thank you @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats .
Great to hear you are fine .

The photo thing is so annoying. My photos are sometimes sideways on my garden thread but sometimes not 🤷🏻‍♀️.
I love seeing TC. ♥️

prettybird · 29/05/2022 15:42

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats - your first photo looks good on the iOS app but the 2nd one posted sideways Confused

I always enjoy the cat antics you describe Grin

OnlyLosersTakeTheBus · 29/05/2022 17:59

He looks like a lion in that second one.

I think of TC every time our neighbouring Bengal decides to visit. We've got two loaded water pistols ready to go in the garden which has taught him to walk away nonchalantly when he sees me but as our cats aren't so handy with nerf cannon, they are still terrorised.

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 29/05/2022 19:39

Is it me, or is TC doing an army crawl in that first photo?

(MN photo issues or not, grumpy, the love for TC will never die....)

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/05/2022 19:43

You shouldn’t have written so eloquently about him if you didn’t want to update the threads forever.

TC has no best before date.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/05/2022 20:20

We are always looking out for the adventures of TC! Very glad he’s hale and hearty and you are too, Grumpy.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 02/06/2022 15:17

TC is enjoying spending his time on our patio as usual.

He is so terribly dear. That soft chin…

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 02/06/2022 16:48

He's now doing his Tiny Tim impression looking longingly through the window...

Chunky Tim more like.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/06/2022 17:03

Maybe if you hand the dreamies over he’ll leave.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/06/2022 19:49

Poor TC. You always take the pictures at such an angle to make him appear more portly than I’m sure he is really.

Supersimkin2 · 02/06/2022 20:15

TC’s a fine figure, the very picture of a gentleman cat in his prime touring the estate.

I don’t approve of skinny cats.
