Suggestions for Short term foster home for 2 cats

I’m trying to help a friend who is looking for foster carer for 2 cats due to starting a new job that involves working away
They are male and female siblings - 4-5 years old and always been indoor cats
They would be willing to pay but don’t like the idea of catteries as they are so used to home comforts and people
A visiting pet service would still mean they are left alone without human company
Friend is unsure if job will work out long term or if it will always mean working away so is unwilling to rehome Dcats until options become clearer
Lancashire area near to Yorkshire borders
TIA

House sitter?.

A house sitter would be the best option.

Thank you but I don’t think a house sitter would work unless they charge much less than I imagine
Any ideas of costs?

In London its £50 per day. Unless she could rent her place out for cheap saying it came with cats?

I go for a catsitter but ask if they can do an extended visit to include some play / cuddles - or see if a friend can spend some time with the cats a couple of times a week, while still having a catsitter to feed, do litter trays etc.

Housesittersuk is for house sitters that are free in return for being able to stay at your accommodation for free. Assuming she is actually staying away.

If she isn't staying away but has a spare room she could get a lodger for a reduced rent in return for care taking for the kitties.

I'm in the next county over and as a pet-sitter myself I would charge £15 per day for visits only (one in the morning and one at night) or £30 to stay over. I personally find overnights very disruptive though and wouldn't ever take on a long-term overnight sitting job.

Most cats don't need that much company and would be more than happy with twice-daily visits. If she's working away does that mean she'll be home at weekends?

I think a cattery would probably be the best option, unless she has neighbours she trusts who she could pay a nominal amount to.
