Hi All. Love seeing the pics of all your gorgeous cats. We brought home our new family member from a rescue this week.
She's 9 months, all black and called Luna.
She's settled in really well and seems happy here. She loves being around people so follows us around purring and always sleeps next to or very near to us.
The rescue said she is scatty, energetic and friendly and they were exactly right.
She's never been outside but spends a lot of time looking out of our patio doors. I think she can't wait to go out.

How are you, Lana?

@Supersimkin2 god no, we had dogs(and I had horses). My mum is "allergic" scared of cats

How are you Super? How was the surgery?

Luna looks like a darling... but be careful on stairs at night.

She does 'disappear' a lot!

@QueenPaw magic adores hers. She's got extra blankets to make it even more cosy.

Put off till Mon cos they’re frenzied but - hooray - if it keeps getting better with the pillz I can swerve it altogether. Doc rang me again a few min ago, how impressive is that.

A packet of mini caramel shortbreads has unaccountably disappeared from the little table by the sick bed Grin

That's good - potentially swerving the op, that is, not the disappearance of the biscuits! Does Cap'n have a stealthy paw, by any chance?

Gah. I need to talk something awful through
There is a possibility, a tiny one but I have to consider it that I may need to move somewhere with no pets
It's not a choice as such but I may be forced to (I've been in tears all day and not sleeping)
Knowing how bonded Ollie is and his medical history, what would you do?

Supersimkin2 · 17/05/2021 20:26

Take him with you.

It might not be an option Sad
As in I may be in a house share/lodger situation

So I need to remortgage to consolidate debt and extend mortgage term (my parents can't be guarantor any more as retired). I had a decision in principle, covid hit and the lenders ran away and my mortgage advisor left
Worst case is I will have to sell and go into a house share

Report
Supersimkin2 · 17/05/2021 20:31

Ok. What timescale are we looking at

Report
QueenPaw · 17/05/2021 20:33

Pass. It all depends on what lenders will give. The issue I'm having is getting 85% loan to value. The new guy seems v good but I really need it completing in preferably 6 months, could possibly stretch to 9 months
Like I said, it's a small possibility and things can happen or change but I just needed to voice it

Supersimkin2 · 17/05/2021 20:35

Yuk for you. Just what you need after a shit year. Have you tried London and Country advisors - very good.

Report
Supersimkin2 · 17/05/2021 20:38

Of course you need to talk about it, however teensy the chance. This isn’t going to happen, but to be honest even in London you can rent a studio for the same price as a houseshare. So you and Oli are still together.

They're on my list, I have contacted View finance today who seem excellent so fingers crossed. a lot hinges on the valuation, if ir comes in higher it will solve a lot of issues

Supersimkin2 · 17/05/2021 20:40

You must be stressed to buggery with it all - but 6 months is a very long time in financial terms. So it should be sorted before that.

You and Oli will not be parted. Breathe...

@QueenPaw I’m sorry to hear this how very worrying! Anyway I have a friend who is an excellent mortgage advisor if you need another opinion x she’s helped people who are in less than ideal situations. Seriously I’m sure she would be able to help if you have an issue with the new guy 💕
