Lost our lovely girl today

Our lovely cat is gone...hit by a car. The driver didn’t stop, but a lovely lady did, and wrapped her in a towel and knocked at our door. It looked pretty instant from the damage to her head.
We’d only rescued her 3 months ago so I feel terrible. Like we really let her down.
She was so very loved though and part of our family. My children are devastated and we can’t stop crying. I totally loved her.
I know we’ll get through this but it’s just so unfair.
Hug those kitties extra tight tonight.

I’m just heartbroken. She was already a massive part of the family... would follow me everywhere and loved my daughter. I don’t know how I’ll sit down in an evening without her there. 😢

@TroysMammy no I don’t think so.
A kind lady knocked on our door as it was outside our house. We knew pretty quickly, and she was already gone.
It’s hit me so hard.
I can see the fucking speeding bastard on our cctv. She just ran out, trying to get home.
5 seconds either way and she’d be here with me.
She was a beautiful cat but most importantly sweet natured and gentle, and very playful. Even loved her play bites and mucky footprints in the bathroom.

I'm a cat person with Siamese cats.
I lost my first Siamese in this way and 30 years later I still miss her.
My cats are my life, I am so sad for you.
