My fault apparently. I need to fix it.

Col couldn't believe it was raining at all the doors

Eventually he gave me a protest meow and legged it directly over the grass, did a wee and ran straight back without digging for 10 minutes

It was raining at 4am. I know this because I was dragged to every door and window, just so we could check there wasn't a dry microclimate out of each of them. And then I was huffed at for not wanting to leave the windows open so burglars could climb in they could sit in them and wait for it to stop.

We have a cat flap, we have a litter tray, they had full food bowls.

Luckily they have now accepted the travesty and are fast asleep. Whereas, I've been up since 4am.

ProcrastinationIsMySuperPower · 08/05/2021 11:43

Yep. Maggie has been sat looking out of the back door and casting dirty looks my way all morning because I have failed to stop the rain.

Mumdiva99 · 08/05/2021 13:46

I've bought mine a puzzle feeder to entertain them today because obviously they can't go out. Bobbi has miowed a few times for food in a bowl. They are now both sleeping in protest! (They showed me they could use it.....they just don't want to.)
In fact Silky might be sleeping because the box she was playing with (that it came in) fell off the table and scared her.

Blueskytoday06 · 08/05/2021 13:53

@Toddlerteaplease oh that's made my day. I want to give him a big cuddle.

Aprilwasverywet · 08/05/2021 13:55

Op I assume you own an umbrella? How absolutely selfish of you not to be following HRH round the garden safely protected...

Serialcatmum · 08/05/2021 13:58

He was livid. Pushed his little face into the duvet. I shut the curtains to support his mood 😂

@Blueskytoday06 she adores being cuddled! I would be happy for them to go out. I just don't want wet paw prints all over the floor and sofa. Or wet long haired cat all over the place!

Of course it's your fault!!!

onlymyselftoanswerto1 · 08/05/2021 14:07

Freckles woke me up at 3am to complain about the injustice of it all and wasn't satisfied until she was tucked up in bed beside me for the rest of the night. Funnily enough she then got more sleep than I did 🙄

Serielcatmum that is clearly a panda, purchased on some crazed whim to have matching pet and bedding...

Serialcatmum · 08/05/2021 14:25

H ha ha @Aprilwasverywet I hadn’t realised he was on Cammo.

H ha ha *@Aprilwasverywet* I hadn’t realised he was on Cammo.
If you turn the photo nearly upside down it appears to be a panda head with slightly wonky ears. Excellent.Grin

Wonderful photo OP!

Bonariensis · 08/05/2021 16:31

DCat has been in and out at lease 23 times today. Everyone has let her out at her request (no cat flap) then five minutes later let her back in again (she eyeballs you through the window with a Paddington stare when she wants to come in) because the humans have still not fixed the weather!

purrswhileheeats · 09/05/2021 09:37

I've got the opposite problem here - it's too hot! Dcats keep flopping on the cool tiles inside and glaring at me like this Hmm

Last summer Kloppy (he was still a baby then) insisted on tearing around in 35c heat and ended up with heatstroke Shock I rang the vet in a panic thinking he was dying, his advice was to stick him under the air con for an hour with a bowl of iced water. It worked Grin
