Just brought our rescue boy home

We’ve just today been to pick up our rescue boy from the RSPCA.

We live near a road so didn’t want a roamer so we chose an FIV positive boy who needs to kept indoors until we get our “catio” built in a few weeks.

He miaowed for the ENTIRE 2 hour journey home, jumped straight out of the cat box and onto the worktop, scoffed his dinner in 2 seconds flat and has not let us stop tickling him for a second. He’s just parked himself on the bed for a nap and is protesting loudly if my partner stops scratched his ears for even a second....

Lovely cats. Sorry OP I think the black one is the cutest!

All adorable beyond words. My new girl has totally come out of her shell after a day :-)

Lovely-looking cat! Congratulations. I also had a FIV cat from the RSPCA. She was a wonderful cat. I came back home from a very short last thing at night walk with the dog, to find the poor cat dead in her bed. The RSPCA had not told me that would be a likely outcome for her. They passed her fit for adoption. I was devastated, as my OH had very recently died, and the cat, dog and horse were keeping me alive. Two weeks later, the dog had to be pts due to arthritis which could no longer be managed by veterinary support.

Fluffy (as the CatSlave to 2 Black Cats) I reckon your boy has the "Put a harness on me and lose a couple of fingers" look about him .

Your cat sounds gorgeous OP and soo friendly . Our two ( we've had them two years now) will lower themselves to walk over us or sit on DD when she's in bed if it causes her inconvenience .
Essay to write? Full bladder . Cat company on tap Grin

@70isaLimitNotaTarget I suspect you might be right! I took him to the vets this week for vaccinations and it’s tricky to even get him in the carrier. He hates it the poor thing.
He doesn’t show any signs of wanting to go outside so I think I am probably worrying unnecessarily.
He seems super happy to be played with, have lots of comfy places to sleep, a lap to sit on in the evening, and most importantly have his food and treats provided.

OP I hope your gorgeous boy is still doing well.
