Desperate for a cat South London

My friend is desperate to offer a good home to a rescue cat. It would be the only cat in a 3 bed house with garden, no kids.

Can anyone recommend somewhere for her to adopt from? She's tried all the usual places but they are snapped up very quickly.

Well being a good owner means being patient. Finding a cat on mumsnet (!) isn’t great tbh.

She needs to phone the rescues every day and see if they have new cats.

There is a high demand for cats at the moment so she will need to be patient.
In case she's not tried them there's: Cats Protection Mitcham Adoption Centre, Battersea, Celia Hammond in Lewisham, there's various smaller rescues too, Ginger Cat House (cats in all colours), Wallington Animal Rescue are some I know of. There is a website called Catchat which lists all the rescues in a given area.
The websites aren't necessarily up to date as rescues are running with fewer humans at present.

@Ostryga yes I don't think she was looking to find a cat on Mumsnet (!) - more that there are a lot of knowledgeable and (usually) helpful people here who might point her in the direction of a lesser known cat rescue centre.
I'm in North London and always get my rescue cats from Cats Protection in Archway (4 cats over 20 years) but it's closed due to Covid.

Celia Hammond in Lewisham has some lovely babies at the moment. I often look (and get sad because I can't adopt any more).
