Kittens went off their wet food

So my two lovely 8 month old kittens have suddenly went off their wet food that they have had since they were brought home. They are still scoffing their dry food but showing very little interest in their wet food. Is this normal? Should I change their food or persevere?

They can be absolute divas with food - our have a favourite above all others but sometimes go off it for a while, then back on it again. As long as they are eating plenty of their dry food I don't think there's anything to worry about. You could try a different wet food.

My cats are now 4 and still do this. We have been round all sorts of wet food and you just don't know if they'll eat it or not. They still eat the dry food ok too

I fed my kittens exclusively dry food until about the age of 15 when one of them had a urine infection and they started to find it hard work on their teeth and kidneys. They're now 20 years old.

Mine only have dry
Wet food is terribly bad for teeth
Sometimes they have a bit of ham etc

The vet always says they have great teeth for age. (6)Grin

Is it normal that they both have went off it at the same time? So would they be fine to just eat dry food and not include wet food? Thanks everyone

Maybe try another variety. I've found mine prefer fish flavours and don't like pate style. I have several different brands I offer and sometimes they eat it and sometimes they dont

I've just bought them a water fountain, going to try that with dry food for a bit, see how they go

Could the recipe have changed?

They can live off a balance dry cat food yes.

Haribo has a bit of Whiskas salmon in jelly for breakfast then he has dry throughout the day. I'll only buy one tin of Whiskas at a time because he developed the fuss about 6 months ago. He quite happily eats it straight from the fridge. He drinks water from his bowl after his evening meal.
