Recyclable packaging for food like Felix 'as good as it looks doubly delicious'

DCat will only eat Felix 'as good as it looks- doubly delicious' but I feel bad throwing away 3 empty pouches every single day. She won't touch the tinned Felix. We try to make ecologically sound choices but this clearly isn't one. Is there anything around similar but in packaging that can be recycled? TIA

There is a company that recycles cat food pouches, check the website to see if you have a nearby collection point.

www.terracycle.com/en-GB/brigades/petfood

Irritatingly they don't have a collection point near me (and said they were full when I suggested running one for them).

Thanks for this, I've had a look and there's one a bit over an hour away, so I guess if we washed them out and saved them up, we could make a trip every couple of months. It would still be better than putting them all in the bin.

I've just found one vaguely near us but it seems to be someone's house. Could that be right? Open 24 hours.

Could be - they'll have an outside collection point.

Some rescues take the pouches and send them to Terracycle to raise funds. Several Cats Protection adoption centres do (although not during the current lockdown) and I'm sure lots of others do.
One thing, the pouches must be clean and dry or they go mouldy and smelly which isn't pleasant to deal with!

I wonder if they can go in the dishwasher?

I live near the Cats Protection HQ in Sussex. As others have said they are not taking pouches at the moment so your best bet is a Terracycle location.

I am trying to find where to recycle "good as it looks" and "purina one" cat food pouches.
