I can’t change the duvet cover can I?

This madam is 16 (at least 80 in cat years?) and knows what she’s doing. She knows I’ve put the bloody pillow protectors and the pillowcases back on. That’s all I dare to do. She is laying on the naked duvet with the newly washed cover and sheet all ruckled up... and yes she knows it. She’s just put her back legs out like a ballet dancer. I wouldn’t let one of my kids get away with this trickery ffs

Well everyone knows moving a sleeping cat is a criminal offence. Mine is sitting on me whilst I let my tea burn....

ColdemortReturns · 30/12/2020 20:02

Offender in question in current position...

@ColdemortReturns yep, we are weak against these small furry rulers

Nope, no bed making for you.

Now off you go, you’re disturbing her nap!!

@Imissmoominmama I’m worried your feet will get cold over the next 3 hours… god bless you for your sacrifice

no, you have it all wrong.

When steppecat is all sleepy and cuddly and I have to move him, I scoop him up into an upside down cuddle which he loves and rubs his head against my arm and gets tickled under the chin etc, he gets a lovely cuddle and then I put him down somewhere else Hmm Grin

Ohh sneaky, that's like the 'hug and roll' move from Friends Xmas Grin

I should have tried this at 4am when I had not one, but two hefty tabby boycats crushing my chest. Could I BE any more of a wimp? 😩😅

Cheddar thinks she's very helpful when changing the duvet.

You must fashion a tempting alternative place to plop her while you complete the task.

Minimal interruption to Anna Pavalova of course. Feather pillow with silk pillow case would be ideal.

Imissmoominmama · 31/12/2020 17:31

@Snooks1971- the cat is generally the temperature of the earth’s core, so even though they were bare, I was ok Grin.

@AfterSchoolWorry sadly she would turn her nose up at such well meant luxury, however, if it was an old manky cardboard box or a laptop keyboard she would be all over them like a rash

@Toddlerteaplease love how Cheddar is laid out like a rather decadent and slightly sultry Joan Collins on your duvet Grin

IME no other place would tempt Spongecat away from where she wanted to be. Don't get me started on squashing her expensive house to lay on top of it, and the cushion by the radiator ignored. You could move her, but she will be on the phone clawing out the number to the RSPCA to report you tootsweet. Our old tomcat, OTOH, would have allowed the hug and roll manouver.

LittleMissnotLittleMrs · 31/12/2020 18:24

Where’s her tail or is she a true rumpie?

You will sigh with relief because I didn’t move her, couldn’t face the reproachful looks, I would be paying for it for days. Days I tell you.

@LittleMissnotLittleMrs you can just see her tail on her Anna Pavalova pic, it’s all black and sticking out slightly. It’s a very expressive tail, she likes to wave it at “the stupid dog” (her words, not ours).
