He arrives tomorrow! And he's from Berlin originally...

I have to ask..... Does he play the violin?

stella1know · 17/12/2020 23:13

Wow. How did he get here from Berlin? Was it a shelter-exchange or someone’s pet and due to circumstances he needs fostering?
(Checks posting to litter tray board)

Aw, that’s lovely. Will check back for photos. Hope he settles in well. 😊

He moved from Berlin to Scotland with his family but now their housing situation is unsuitable so a mutual friend asked if I could help. Weirdly I said that I wouldn't mind pet fostering as I lost my DDog in March. My DD4 is beyond excited, and I am too. Have even got him a present for under the xmas tree (for shame).

No shame in that OP. Our fur baby has his own stocking! Blush

Looking forward to pictures.

Sounds lovely. Our cats would get pressies too at Xmas, wrapped up 🙂

Congrats on your new cat!😂😂

Sorry for the radio silence! He arrived about 3PM and since then I've managed to 'lose' him in the LIVINGROOM about 5 times 😬.

Apparently his 'thing' is squeezing into extremely small spaces... I even went so far as to check outside on the street even though living room door has been shut all evening.

I phoned his German mum to saw I was sorry but I thought I might've lost your cat and she was very chilled and said he's probably on the house... she was right, he was under the sofa.

On the positive front he seems very sweet, and has taken food and some dreamies from me.

When he comes out from his latest hiding place I'll grab a photo.

Forgot to say he's called Ziggy.

@Namechange2020lalala - when we moved into this house we had 4 cats. We were able to complete, move down with our kids and stay with ILs until the furniture arrived the next day. We decided to put the cats in the very secure, sealed, kitchen of the new house.

When we went into it the next day they were gone. We went through every scenario, including the previous owners of the house coming in and kidnapping them 😱.

They were UNDER the kitchen units. There was no way for them to get under the units, there were no gaps, but all 4 of them were under there. We had to take one cupboard to bits to get them out.

Never underestimate the ability of a determined cat to get into a small space.

Wow that's crazy Shock

It's so weird having his presence in the house. I totally feel pets change the atmosphere, I think he's trying to tell me to chill the hell out. I am quite highly strung but I'm going to have to yet used to him revealing himself when it suits him...

@Namechange2020lalala that presence is precious, magical, and lingers long after they ever leave ❤️, long in the future. It may even stay with you forever.
