My precious cat has to stay at vets :((

My four year old moggy has stopped eating and been lethargic over the last few days. We thought he might be depressed as he's unfortunately an indoor cat for a temporary period of two months as we're living away from home. Usually he is very very active outside,

Vet thinks possible infection and so has him on antibiotics and drip. I'm so anxious, my daughter lost her dad 6 years ago and the cat helps her grief so much, we can't lose him...

Any reassuring words that I'm just freaking out?

I’m sure they’ll find out what the problem is. The drip will help.

They will sort him out. I've been there many times with mine. Hope you've got good insurance.

They will find out what is up, there are so many developments in vetinary science and treatmennts and the vets know what they are doing. Staying overnight is good as they can properly monitor and test many things. Fingers crosses. Cats are precious.

Thanks all. He is home and seems brighter but has to go back tomorrow at 9 for a review. They've run lots of bloods. He's such an important part of our family😢

Good to hear, all the best for future tests and wishing for a good recovery 🐈
