Advice Pls - Brown eye discharge on white faced cat

So I normally wipe her eyes now and then as per normal hygiene practice but this week I've noticed she has a lot more than usual.
We're having work done outside so during the day she's in then we let her out once tradesmen have packed up for the day. She goes out as normal but it is muddy out there thanks to all the work and rain.
She got in a small cat fight about a week or so ago, didn't find any injuries apart from a tiny cut on her ear which I cleaned with salt water. It healed up nicely and things seem to be OK. Apart from now this brown sleep discharge thing, more from one eye than the other other.
I'm cleaning it away once an evening with damp salt water cotton balls.
Is a vet trip needed do you think?

Guess there's no harm in ringing up to see if what a vet says?

I’d ring them if it’s excessive. You never know with animals.

We have a pure white cat, and earlier this year she had slightly “mucky” eyes. I rang the vet who said it was likely to be a cat version of hay fever - and actually she was sneezing a wee bit too. It was during lockdown so the vet wasn’t that keen for us to bring her in, and said to keep an eye on it since she wasn’t rubbing at it or anything.

As is always the way with these things (or actually more likely if you spend ££ on a vet appointment) it cleared up pretty much the day after I spoke to him.
