Why can the cattery staff get great photos and I can't!

Snorg is really difficult get photos off because you can't see her face. How do the cattery staff manage it. They get gorgeous photos of her!

Looks like the lighting is very bright and spread around which would help

Snorg looks magnificent but I really love that picture of Cheddar. She looks like the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland.

@DidSomebodySaySiamese yes. Her real name is Magic. But my sister nicknamed her SnorgMaiden. Maia was also nicknamed Fattycat. And poor Cheddar is Shoulder pig.

Snorg was really happy to see the cattery assistant, who absolutely adores her. She ran to meet her at the gate, and Snorg did the whole quivery tail thing. I'm not jealous, really I'm not!

Ah! I thought it was Magic but the give away was she is with Cheddar. I only pop on occasionally so it takes me some time to read through. What happened with the things in the ears?

Natural daylight by the looks of it and they might use a proper camera.

Since they are not bothering her, we are going to leave alone. She may need a referral for laser treatment if they start causing an issue. In try Snorg style, they are rare!

I'll have to ask about the camera, I thought they used their phones!

Apparently they requested a dry shampoo this morning, and Snorg has come home with a bath mat as she likes the texture. I love that cattery!

No helpful advice but OMG those squishy faces!! My dd would love a Persian but we have Maine coone instead.

It really is a wonderful cattery. They live it there. Magic loves the staff. And is always pleased to see them. It's well worth the 90 minute round trip!

Black cats are notoriously difficult to photograph (I have one & have had several over the years) & generally require some skill & a decent camera to capture a good shot. Our local rescues use volunteer photography students to get their good shots. Lighting definitely makes a difference too

Iphone7 does have a decent camera on it, I have one & found it good, it picks up detail, light & shade well, which is needed when they are so dark... baby black girl...

@SingingInTheShithouse magic is incredibly difficult because of the shape of her face. Her late identical sister was a tiny bid easier.
