Have you ever watched a kitten try to eat a Wotsit

I've just spent the last 10 minutes roaring with laughter. I didn't manage to catch it on camera as was laughing so hard.

I'm currently lying on the bed gorging on wotsits, kittens on various parts of the bed (I have 2) and I dropped one. The dastardly pouncing on the bright orangness and trying to pick it up and lick it with soft gentle mouths and trying to work out how to bite into it. Meanwhile she saunters over and slams his head into the ground. I think we know who is ruling the roost

Have they got orange round their mouths?!

NotanotherboxofFrogs · 27/09/2020 19:26

Not really as there was a lot of licking and trying to work out what this thing was before trying to bite it.

He had to work on the idea of soft mouth after he arrived as he was a little bitey and heavy with teeth. However I offered treats and praise for taking the treat with a soft non snappy mouth and it has worked very well, but he was afraid to bite into this strange thing. It moving around as they lightly batted it about, licking the strange thing.

(Btw i have just found this post from earlier but I have no memory of making it as was in woozy sleep deprived state)

This is Millie and Cookie.

She is the one who has destroyed my curtains, hence a old pair is up till the most of the scaling up and down is past

He is the one in the pink harness as was getting them used to it and I ordered a medium for him but I really needed a small so switched the harness between both till his new one arrived

@JorisBonson not only do I love your username, but your cat ❤️❤️❤️

Rebelwithallthecause · 27/09/2020 21:08

Yes, it was one of my first kittens sadly foods

He was strange as he liked pizza and chips too

JorisBonson · 27/09/2020 21:14

@BananaPop2020 he's a complete gannet and has been known to climb people who are eating to try to steal the food.

He once stole a string of sausages like something from a pantomime.

Bonus angry cake face.

@JorisBonson my lovely cat (now sadly gone) was the same. He would pretty much attack people for food and once had to be fended off with a pencil when he tried to nick a prawn sandwich. He would frequently come home having been fed at various neighbour’s houses and was once stained orange for days when he ate the remains of an Indian takeaway from the bin.

JorisBonson · 27/09/2020 21:26

@BananaPop2020 I'm howling at the image of the cat being fended off with a pencil 😂😂

barskits · 27/09/2020 21:27

You haven't seen anything until you've seen what a cat can do to a swiss roll. Why they love swiss roll to the exclusion of all other cake, I have no idea.

BananaPop2020 · 27/09/2020 21:36

@JorisBonson funnily enough, the ‘pencil wielder’ was a Public Order trained Police Sgt who clearly hadn’t covered that particular situation in training 😀

Most disappointed that this didn't contain a video.

My old cat used to go berserk for the paper cases off butterfly buns. She'd creep up and steal them, then take them away into a corner to chew them.

Gingaaarghpussy · 27/09/2020 22:52

My ginger blob loves wotsits. I put some on the floor for her and she generally eats them normally, sometimes she will look at one, circle around it, sit slightly further than arms length away and proceed to tapping it until a claw catches it, then we have shaking of paw, followed by wotsit flying across the room.
She also dunks her paw in chicken soup and tea.

What is it with Wotsits and cats? DD’s late lamented kitty used to go bananas for them. Crisps, NikNaks, Monsters Munch, plantain chips were all ignored but she could smell a packet being opened from three flights of stairs away.
