Do you leave dry feed in bowl all day?

New cat owner here. We've had our 2 year old rescue cat for a couple of days and I've been leaving out her bowl of dry food (Hills Science) once I've portioned it out in the morning. She has a good feed first thing but there's always some left over which she comes back to at various times throughout the day.
Is this ok or is it better to remove the remaining portion after her morning feed and return it in the evening?
I've also been toying with adding some water to her dry food to increase her water intake. She's drinking but it doesn't seem to be a lot and a bit of blood at the end of her poo may mean she's constipated (I'm watching this of course, as although she seems well and active, if it continues I'll take her to the vet)

My cat doesn’t drink any water out of a bowl, she will only drink from the bathroom tap

Mine will only drink from a human glass, preferably on a table (she is not allowed on tables, she knows this, she doesn't care) or the water put out for the hedgehogs, preferably with some old leaves in it.

She has dry food all day. She insists I put fresh food down at about 7am, even if her bowl is full.

This is then ignored for most of the day as she is out doing kitty business (and foraging at the neighbours) but when she decides to come in (usually between 12-4am) she will eat most or all of the food.

It depends on the cat, most of mine were happy to snack on dry cat food during the day but if I did that with my current cat she would be a proper porker because she doesn't have an off switch (like me) so she has to be fed at certain times.

I've given her some canned tuna topped up with water which she likes and I think looks forward to now. However I've read that they shouldn't have too much of this. I tried her with applawse chicken which she turned her nose up at so will try to find a wet brand that she likes.
Will also try the water bowl away from her food.

she's just done that for the first time. she likes to jump on the nearby wash basin while I'm on the loo so today I decided to let the tap drip and she had quite a few licks Confused
I'm in 2 minds about whether to encourage this. surely if I don't she'll be forced to have water from her bowl?

They seem to like flowing water. Ours used to sniff and lick the tap so we knew to turn it on for her. She also liked her own very full glass of water but hardly drank from her bowl. She's very happy with her cat water fountain now
