how long was it before your puss was well again, and were there any long term issues?
does it mean they can never be vaccinated again? and if so does that mean that holiday cat care services that usually insist the cat's vaccinations are up to date are now going to refuse their services?
also if yes to the above, what did it do to insurance, given that one condition of a standard pet health insurance policy is keeping vaccinations up to date?

hopeful bump. I know this is massively rare. the various vets at the practice all said they had never seen anything like it and they had decades of experience between them.

Hi,

We are actually dealing with this at the moment. Our poor kitten got a lump at the site of the injection, i took him to the vets and he has been on antibiotics for over a week. It started to go down in size but has now gone back up! I spoke to the vet today who said that when we get him neutered it may be best to have it removed so it doesn't turn into a a tumor or absyis. Sorry i don't have any answers 😔

oh dear poor kitten. I hope he feels better soon.

Ours was having her 1year boosters and she started vomiting and her blood pressure and pulse plummeting within minutes of having the jab, whilst still in the vets. all very scary but she seems to be on the mend.
