Cat peeing on lodgers gym wear

Im so mortified. Bloody Daphne and my flatmate is so nice about it. Shes not tidy and she leaves her running gear in a pile shes just watched daphne do it. I quickly put it in the wash but she said its not the first time 😟

Is she aware of laundry baskets? 🤔

I think we need to remember the real issue here, not Daphne’s reaction to it.

I know and Ive just watched her go back into the room looking for the laundry. She picked the rug up to look underneath as well. Turns out she also did it in her gym bag as well another time. Thats now in the wash. She is lovely but goodness theres piles of clothes everywhere.

Some cats do seem to be attracted to sweat. It's the pheromones apparently. And I think sometimes this attraction can make them want to piss on sweaty things.

Anyway - clever cat. What better way to train a lodger!

So where are these piles of clothes? In her room? If so she needs to keep Daphne out. If they're dumped around the rest of the flat then she deserves it and I'm surprised you've put up with this without complaint so far.

No in her room but she’s a room open kind of person I shut it if I’m off but when she’s home she works out or reads in there with everything piled around her. She said she thought it was cute when Daph kept getting into her rucksack....

This is funny 🤣🤣 really she needs to be tidier! Big piles of laundry will tempt any cat. Two of my girls used to do it.

Oh dear. The answer is definitely not to leave sweaty workout clothes lying around.
Our old cat once peed on my clothes I'd dumped on the floor when I was 8 months pregnant.
