I have a very playful 8 month old kitten , he gets bored with the toys that I buy him he prefers bits of string . screwed up paper but he has just got a new favourite toy ,

A Carrot top !

I was chopping a carrot up and the top fell on the floor , he pounced on it and has been playing with it for 15 mins .

I spent £6 on a toy mouse a few days ago, he has batted it 2 or 3 times Hmm

My little 12 week old kitten likes ice cubes. We give him one when it's hot to bat around and as it melts and warms up he will even lick it

Pom poms that were cut off of a teddies hat, hes loved them for nearly a year.

I saw a cat on Instagram playing with a peanut.

Anything I spray the liquid catnip stuff on.

Occasionally he'll randomly play with things that don't have it on, but he's very cat in whether he'll bother.

Mine love a Flying Frenzy toy and their Under cover Mouse. Recently discovered is Kitty Crack which is even more potent than the strongest catnip; expensive but you only need a tiny bit.

Newspaper - tear off half a page at a time, crunch up into a ball and throw it Grin

Bottle tops.
Olive stones.
The centre of a corn on the cob.
Kong Kickeroo which they grab with front paws and kick like crazy with the back ones.

Of course, Al! Smile

And the best cat bed appears to be a cardboard box! I remember we fell into the trap of buying a comfy bed for ours but they preferred our beds or a cardboard box!

Our last cat used to love playing with the plastic rings around milk bottle tops. Either that or bits of runner beans that escaped from the chopping board
