To want a rescue but is it fair

I'm such a cat person, I had my best friend for 20 years and lost him last year, we have a little 4 year old cat but she's not a lap cat at all, I got her when she was a baby and treated her the same but she's just not that type of cat which is fine, I know she is still young and mainly just wants to be outside, and somtimes she will come in and walk across me but can't hold her for long so no nose kisses no snuggles. I know not all cats were like my old boy he was special but I miss having a cuddly cat. I want to get a rescue that needs a lap and lots of love but don't want it to push my little one further away, but sometime I feel like I don't even have a cat.

A cuddly cat May teach your other cat to be more cuddly. That's what happened when I got Cheddar. She was all over me from the moment I first picked her up. It's taken five years for the other one to sit on my knee. But she does it regularly and will come for a cuddle overnight.
