Wiskas instead of Felix pouches

Online shopping has finally arrived after 3 weeks!!!

The subs aren't too bad but they have given us wiskas instead of Felix pouches. We have a 14yr old and an 8 month old.

What do you think? Can I use these or not? I've never changed brand before and thought you need to do it gradually.

We've not run out of felix yet, have about 4 days worth left. I could ask neighbours for help if I need to, just not sure what to do?

Gradually introduce it by mixing in with the Felix, increasing a little each day?

Your cats will NOT be happy with you GrinThanks

Ohh dear, old cat still hasn't forgiven the arrival of a kitten Confused

My cat has preferences with brands but if I suddenly gave her felix today she would still eat it! She has aldi premium pouches and seems to enjoy them!

My mums cat becames a hyperactive idiot on Whiskas. Just saying......

whatnow40 · 11/04/2020 09:00

Our kitten is a hyperactive idiot anyway...I can't imagine what that would look like!!

Whiskas gives Leroy the runs, Barney the "stray" bloody loves the stuff.

Personal experience tells me that mixing it might render the Felix inedible and waste it all. You might be better off alternating the two?

Personally I'd drop everything and try to find Felix from anywhere!

whatnow40 · 11/04/2020 09:39

I'm not going to risk the wiskas. Will ask neighbours to get some. It's just a pain as the local shop only has the small boxes and they're twice the price. Grrrr...

My cat will not eat whiskers. Only Felix as good as it looks in fish. Normal Felix no. He’s had a hard life and hasn’t been pampered before he came to us. So I have no idea why he is so fussy.

I had an emergency trip to the vets after giving the late Maia felix. I let them clear up the resulting poonami! Trust me if you have a long haired cat, you do not want them to get the squits.

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/04/2020 14:50

Have amazon or Costco online got Felix?

Felix here! Ours don't register whiskas as food either Hmm

DaydreamingDay · 12/04/2020 15:19

Mine only eats Sheba which is a nightmare to get hold off...none of my local shops stock it. Have to order it in.

Carrie7469 · 12/04/2020 20:11

You're lucky. I had a grocery delivery and ordered cat food. They didn't have it in stock and substituted it with dog food. I don't even have a dog.
The Whiskas would be fine though. Why don't you want to use it?

ilikebigbuttsandicannotlie · 12/04/2020 20:14

This same thing happened to me. My two snooty cats turned their nose up at it and swanned off in disgust. Maybe try it and if they’re not overly keen, keep it as a back-up if you run out or can’t get hold of their Felix. My two will only eat the as good as it looks doubly delicious variety. It’s so annoying... But we still pander to them 😂

Antonin · 13/04/2020 15:35

Amazon stocks Felix so try there. Had a cursory look but seems prime is temporarily out of stock so you’d probably have to pay for delivery.
Have you got a Pets at Home near you?

Matildathehun77 · 13/04/2020 15:45

Our cats still need kitten food which can be tricky to find. They like Felix but honestly, they'll eat whatever's offered if Felix isn't available..... they seem quite healthy so far.
