In almost five years she's never done this. She will stay a few minutes if I put her on. I'm so happy!!

❤️

Toddlerteaplease · 27/03/2020 19:33

Thought she was going to get off. But she just repositioned herself and is now going to sleep. I'm so chuffed. I thought she'd never do it. Her sister took two years but was all over me after that. Cheddar has been teaching her well!

Whatever you do do not show any pleasure or gratefulness at all! Otherwise you will be judged as fussing and “ making a scene” and regarded with disdain!

DramaAlpaca · 27/03/2020 19:37

Awww. It's so lovely when a non-lap cat actually deigns to sit on you Smile

HeronLanyon · 27/03/2020 19:37

Brilliant. I have lived with at least two cats in my time who never EVER sat on me except did come sit on my head when I had a migraine. Wonderful. Whatever you do don’t acknowledge what has happened !!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/03/2020 19:42

Ah that’s so sweet. I’m not surprised you’re so pleased.

It took our departed boy about 5 years to sit on dhs lap and we had him from a kitten.

slipperywhensparticus · 27/03/2020 19:45

Go snorg!!

My three still refuse to one will however curl up behind my behind if I'm curled up on the bed 🤷‍♀️

Papergirl1968 · 27/03/2020 19:46

Aww, so sweet.
Unfortunately that remote control in the photo is just out of reach. As is the glass - and it’s also empty.
Both of these things mean you’ll have to move your furry overlord sooner rather than later Wink

Wolfiefan · 27/03/2020 19:47

Move? As if!!
That’s lovely. Our old girl VERY rarely sat on us. It’s precious.

GlendaSugarbeanIsJudgingYou · 27/03/2020 19:49

This is your life now.

You are stuck in that position until she decides to move.

It could be minutes, hours... Even days.

Soubriquet · 27/03/2020 19:53

I once had a cat who would only sit on your knee if you had a cushion on it first Hmm

I hope you have plenty of food and water OP cos you ain’t going anywhere Grin

OnceUponAMidnightBeery · 27/03/2020 19:54

Yes, you can never move until your owner deigns to get up. I recommend practising your telepathic powers, and summoning food and wine to your hand. ‘Accio wine’ doesn’t work for me, but it’s worth a try Grin

Toddlerteaplease · 27/03/2020 20:06

@Soubriquet that's exactly what The late Fatty used to do. I managed to wean her down to a towel, then nothing. She was all over me by the time she died. I still have 'her cushion' I can't get rid of it.
Snorg has been super affectionate for the last few weeks. Cuddling right up to me in bed and putting her head on my arm.

Toddlerteaplease · 27/03/2020 20:19

She's just done it again!!

OP posts:
Toddlerteaplease · 27/03/2020 20:21

And now she's making biscuits! She's not as keen on baking as Cheddar is! I could cry!!

TheLongRider · 27/03/2020 20:29

I hope your bladder isn't full!

It's lovely when they decide to settle on you. Cats can really make you feel like the most important person in the world.

5littlespeckledDogs · 27/03/2020 20:33

This made me smile!

Toddlerteaplease · 27/03/2020 20:40

She never tends to settle anywhere for long.

HeronLanyon · 27/03/2020 20:48

Op o too still have a cushion one of mine lived. I swear when I bury my face in it and breathe in I can smell him and then kind of feel him. They get to you completely.

MrsIronfoundersson · 27/03/2020 21:29

She's the image of my dear departed fatcat. But he was very cuddly. How lovely when they deign to sit on you.

Toddlerteaplease · 27/03/2020 21:34

She's back again!

ILikeyourHairyHands · 28/03/2020 02:29

Oh Snorg.

So nice! Joey occasionally sneaks onto my knee and rubs his head on my ankle when I'm not looking.

Jayneisagirlsname · 28/03/2020 10:19

That's so lovely and such a privilege

willowpatterns · 28/03/2020 10:44
Smile
