Toilet training for cats on actual toilet

Morning Smile

This came up on my amazon feed just now.
Has anyone successfully trained their cats to use the toilet with this method.

Also, I have two cats. Do you think they could both be trained at the same time?

One is an indoor cat and one goes out now and again. (Their choice they have a cat flap but tend to stay home or just in our garden).

No don't do it. What happens when they're old and athritic and cant jump up.

Good point. I didn't think of that. Blush

When they are old and arthritic, just provide a litter tray? We had a cat who did this (we didn't train it to do it, it just did) and it wasn't quite as nice as it might sound. Although the cat was confident to use the toilet, we never managed to train it to flush. It was quite grim.

I'm sure I read somewhere that you arent supposed to put animal waste down the toilet. The processing which waste goes through isnt suitable for dealing with non human waste.

My old cat freaked out when she got a new sized litter tray. I cant imagine what it would have done to her if she had to go from using the toilet to a tray.
