I have convinced our household for a cat! I've wanted one for years and years. Today we went to a local rescue. We seen this tabby girl shes 9 and just got over a bad bout of cat flu, other than that shes in good health. She was fantastic with the children 2 and 4 and constantly purring away with us...... I might go back and see her tomorrow....

She is gorgeous. Looks like my older cat.

No checks done as of yet the rescue asked about the age of the children they are 4 almost 5 and 2 almost 3 they said they dont normally rehome with under 4s unless they have been around animals ect but we do already have a dog. Both the kids the cat was lovely with she was really interested in them didn't run away snuggled into the youngest purring away.

That's so lovely. She's gorgeous. Hope it all works out for you. And well done for picking an older cat. She will still give you years of happiness.

Any update?

We haven't been back to see her yet my DH is getting cold feet again. Our dog has an on going issue with her nails so we are going to get her all sorted and better and can then keep nagging and hope shes still there shes been there since June so fingers crossed.
