I just realised how spoilt my cat is

When she meowed at me to straighten out her blanket and I actually did it

Surely I’m not the only one completely at the mercy of their feline overlord’s whims? She has also had me opening the patio doors for her to enter/exit/repeat umpteen times today

Dh used to buy skinless and boneless pink salmon if ours was naughty to cheer him up.

The number of times we came out of Sainsburys with smart price tuna for me and salmon for the cat who had probably been incredibly naughty that day.

The late Fatty used to squawk at me if the duvet wasn't folded back to her satisfaction!

Had she perfected The Look of Distain? This cat is an expert at it. She mostly aims The Look at the other cat who is prone to stupidity. She also uses it to express her dissatisfaction with my slave services as in this case

I have a very large "L" shaped sofa, easily big enough for 5 adults. I sit on the far right, leaving the rest for the cats - Boycat on the sofa seats, Girlcat usually draped fetchingly along the back. Boycat will then shuffle closer along towards me & place a long arm towards me, this meaning I have to go & sit in the corner bit to give him cuddles until he decides he's had enough.

However Girlcat has now decided that the best place to lie down is on the squashed down cushion that goes behind my back WHILE I'm sitting there. So I shuffle forwards a bit, then twist round at an awkward (for me) angle so she can have her neck & chin scritches.

Bearing in mind that I have a dodgy back at the best of times, and the only acceptable hand for her scritches (according to her) is the side where I'm currently waiting to have the torn rotator cuff tendon in my shoulder repaired, I think you'll agree they are pretty spoiled!

Heated bed? Shock

Don’t spread that around or I’ll be sent out to get one! Little cat likes to be warm, she sleeps under our duvet in between us for maximum cosines

When my old cat got to 19 I treated her to a heated mat..she absolutely loved it and I am sure it helped her aches and pains.

I buy mine prawns with the weekly shop. His tuna tins cost £1.20 each and he eat 14 tins a week! My dh says I am crazy.

I have to sleep carefully balanced along the edge of the bed while the kittens sleep in the middle of us, under the covers. They dont even take up too much room, i just dont want to squash them. I've mentioned this before but they also get a hotwater bottle and they're morning feed heated in the microwave.

Our cat can no longer be trusted with a timer dish. He worked out how to open it!

The other morning, my husband got up to give him a pouch for breakfast. The cat came back and squawked at us again and dabbed at our faces while trying to sleep.

Sometimes he does this when he needs a poop taking out of the tray. He will wait until it's out before he'll do a pee!

Anyway....what he wanted was the contents of the pouch a bit smushed up, not just a big block that had slid out of the packet!

I frequently make the bed around my neurotic princess so I don't have to move her. I once hand fed her morsels of duck as she was too precious to pick them up with her own mouth

Yes, my bed is not made today due to little lady Fauntleroy not being disturbed. God, the looks I get.

I love these stories!

I should add that before we got cats dh told me that they weren’t going to be sleeping on our bed! We have one in between us and one lies across my feet. Turning over takes me ages as I try to disrupt their royal highnesses as little as possible Blush

I’m honoured enough this evening to be allowed to share ‘my’ blanket

Forgot to say that I bought a house, mainly for my cats long term security. The thought of having to move and not be able to take them with me was unthinkable. My archbishop friend came round to bleed it for me today, in the bit where it says "bless all who life here " he blessed the cats!

I’m currently in bed, lying totally flat as to not disturb my slumbering boy.

We have a specific chair in our living room that our kitties love. We know better than to sit it in but visitor’s don’t. Our cats will sit in front of the chair and meow to help the uninitiated understand the chair belongs to them

My cat meows and scratches at the wardrobe door (mirrored, really awful noise) until the bed is millpond smooth for him. And DH has got out.

Are his demands met? Of course they are. 😁

The thing is, you don’t have them for long & you won’t regret any of this spoiling when they’ve gone.
