Cat shaking head following ear cleaning at vets

Took cat for booster at vets on Monday and whilst we were there she cleaned his ears out as they were a bit waxy. Ever since then though he seems like he's in discomfort (seemed fine before). His left ear is quite often held at an angle and he's been shaking his head more than usual.

I'm worried she's damaged or hurt him whist poking around in there... should I take him back for another check do you think or is this fairly normal following an ear clean?

I’d ring them and ask. Two of mine have had ear cleans, one with forceps covered in gauze which he LOVED (Persians are oddballs) but I can’t remember head shaking.
