I'm just wondering if people use Tailster for cat sitting? Most cat sitters I've seen - not on Tailster - charge around 13/14 quid for two visits a day. I put in a request for 4 days cat sitting next year on Tailster and someone quoted me 200 quid?! Is this normal? What do they do? Clean your whole house as well?!
It's all a bit baffling to me and I'm not quite sure how it works so if anyone could enlighten me please do.

Where in the country are you? In London the going rate seems to be around £12-20 per visit. So £25 is a bit higher but not completely unreasonable if they have to come to yours twice a day (which will likely include travel time), take responsibility for your home security and your cat's wellbeing.

Most will make it clear what it includes and how long they stay each visit, though.

I don't have experience of Tailster but a lot of friends use Cat in a Flat which is similar, and I've only heard positive feedback so far (you'll be able to see each cat sitters reviews/profile on there and choose someone local).

We're in Derbyshire. My mums cat sitter only charges 6.50 per visit and does everything additional that you would expect, bins, post, curtains etc so 200 is rather steep. Unfortunately she's fully booked on the dates I need her though.

I'm in Nottingham. My cat sitter charges £15 for two visits. My boss told me she'd do it for free as I let her park on my drive for free. (I live in walking distance to our hospital) but I pay her anyway.

Yeah £15 for two visits is alright, £50 for two visits though! Shock maybe she think I need home boarding or something.
I think I will look elsewhere anyhow.
