Cat being nervy all of a sudden

We've had a rescue cat since February and she's settled in great. The last couple of days she's been not herself though; hiding loads, low to the ground, seems very subdued, not eating as much...other than the smaller appetite she looks healthy but seems nervous. There is a new cat in the neighbourhood and I did see him chase her so I'm wondering if this is what has upset her. Also it's been very windy/rainy which she doesn't like. Anyone else's cat ever behave like this? Should I be worried?

Fireworks going off near you? My poor dog is hiding in our bathroom.

Low pressure just now? My rescue cat is doing the same. We've had her since June, settled in great but now seems nervy and jumpy interspersed with moments where she seems her usual self. I wondered if shes like one of my previous cats who went a bit bonkers every time the pressure dropped and the weather was bad. Just a thought!
