Is there anything we can do to stop our cats getting bitten/scratched?!

2 year old boy and girl cats, they go in and out but don't leave the garden and are kept in at night.

Boy cat had antibiotics fir the 4th/5th(?) time ladt week because of a deep scratch right next to his eye (previous times from bite wounds).

Then had to take girl cat to vet tonight with a massive bite on her side, which has become infected, so needed antibiotics and painkillers and will need follow up appointments. She has also had several previous bite/scratch wounds.

As far as I can see there is one other (bloody enormous!) cat that comes into the garden. Is there anything we can do to put the cat off or to stop our cats trying to take it on?!

Is your cat visitor unneutered? That's usually one of the main causes of territorial fighting. Could be a stray, or do you know who owns him?

I think the visitor is owned, although not sure which house he comes from, also not sure whether neutered.....usually only seen the cat as it legs it out of the garden!!
