Cat food and no deal Brexit

Just wondering if anyone is stockpiling cat food, or putting at least putting a little extra aside. Adults in the house will have to make do, but I'm starting to wonder if I should have a few boxes put aside for the boys, as they'll be hell to play if I can't have their usual.

Glad I found this post!

I've got 3.5kg of dry(Applaws and Thrive) and 12 boxes of Felix pouches for my two boys. Money and space are restricting me a bit, but worried this won't be enough. Would anyone else buy more?

Mine eats a 50/50 mix of Acana Wild Prairie and James Wellbeloved Hairball. I buy big bags. I haven’t stockpiled because I have recently bought new bags, so I have about 9kg left across the two bags.

DogAndCatPerson · 27/09/2019 11:46

That’s for one large cat btw

DogAndCatPerson · 27/09/2019 11:53

The wellbeloved is UK made, so worst case scenario he could just have 100% wellbeloved if the stock of acana (from Canada) is disrupted.

I've got about a weeks supply on top of my normal weekly stash. So hard to know how much to get in. As said previously, we can adapt but try telling them they're usual isn't available.

I noticed a few on here buy Felix. If you have a Tescos clubcard, they've got 10% off until Tues (don't think it includes AGAIL).

God help Boris Johnson if I have to explain to Harry there's food shortages and he's got to have something else. If Boris thinks he's got problems now he'll realise Brexit negotiations have nothing on a cross Harry...

Vinorosso74 · 28/09/2019 21:33

Of all things I've been stockpiling tins of fruit (in juice not syrup) and haven't given cat food a thought! We're starting to get low so best get some extra just in case.
I love the thought of Harry laying in to Boris as he has no food. I'll send our lad to join him in the protests-he is quite vocal so can say what he thinks often matter.

Vinorosso74 · 28/09/2019 21:34

*on the matter

No, but hoping Zooplus have serious Brexit plans.

Silkycat will not survive without her Animonda Carny.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 28/09/2019 21:37

I can just imagine a posse of Litter Tray cats marching on Downing Street!

Vinorosso74 · 28/09/2019 21:55

That would be a sight to behold!

ifonly4 · 30/09/2019 14:33

I'd love to know if 10 Downing Street have stockpiled for Larry the cat. If not, he'll be first in the queue of protestors!

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 30/09/2019 18:09

Closely followed by Gladstone and Palmerston!
