Ha ha thank you! Well...this is boring to most people who I have explained this to, but is interesting to me and probably you too seeing as you like the breed! An exotic longhair can present visually the same as a Persian, but its parents are exotic shorthair. It therefore has some American shorthair (or other short haired cat) in its genetic make up. A full Persian cat doesn't have that. I have a full Persian too. Yours are lovely!

I was watching a prog once about British comedies and "Are You Being Served" came up. One of the people on the show said that he didn't think there was anyone in Britain who was thinking of a cat when Mrs Slocombe started going on about "my pussy."

Well, I can tell you as a 12 year old, I was thinking of a cat like your Snorg on a pink velvet tasseled cushion, looking imperious.

What qualifies as an exotic? Do you mean rare pedigree or something else?

I have a rescue that was used as a kitten factory. Had he two years and she’s still learning how to live in a house and stop hiding at every noise...

I’m sorry, I’m not entirely sure that any of these are bona fide cats. I think we need more pictures to properly verify their identities.

We are definitely real cats. I think an Exotic is just a brand of Persian.

@bluebluezoo both Snorg and Fatty were also from a kitten farm. Apparently kept in a chicken coop style cattery. I believe that there is now only Snorg and one other from that place still alive. Darling Fatty died a year ago. They don't behave like cats at all. Cheddar was clearly loved by her previous owner.
