I posted on here in January as a new kitten owner and got some brilliant advice. Well today I have became an owner to this little boy as well 😍 my 7 year old has named him Pepsi Hmm. Here he is and also Luna who is now 8 months.

They will be best friends in no time.

Yes that’s boy cat in the photo they are so cute together. Girl cat was more aloof but she likes him too now, he’s ruling the roost.

Newcatmum · 24/07/2019 11:21

Yes I think they will be too and I'll be sure to post a photo of them snuggles up like your two Grin.

Today is also going well they are eating together although Luna wasn't happy when the kitten (who is currently without a name) started eating from the big bowl of dry food I leave out. Should I buy him his own bowl for dry food or is it ok to expect them to share? It's just a large baking bowl which I fill up to graze from.

Luna is back to climbing all over me and has just let the toddler man handle cuddle her. Feeling much more positive now.

One thing I've noticed is new kitten doesn't purr. I did read that feral cats teach their kittens to be quiet and he was a farm kitten so wondering if that could be why. He seems happy otherwise so hoping it's nothing to worry about?

Oh that's so sweet.

Nonstopbuttmachine · 27/07/2019 19:11

Oh look at them 😍

Newcatmum · 27/07/2019 19:15

Not even been a week and they are best friends already Grin. Luna is always grooming him although did catch him licking her bum Envy. His name is now Milo! He's an absolute gannet.

Oh that’s lovely. My three are all besties now too, it’s chaos in the morning three way fights going on.

I have 6 bowls in the utility room worktop! 3 full of dry food and 3 full of wet. They have to be on the worktop so the dog doesn’t steal the food but the kitten can’t jump up so he has a chair.

He worked out what the Dreamies packet was after a week as well and comes miaowing like the other two, it’s amazing what he’s picked up on from them.

Newcatmum · 28/07/2019 10:17

I think I may have to put Luna's food on the worktop while Milo is still too small to jump up. She's very fussy with her food and can suddenly go off the same brand that she's been eating for weeks. For a while the only food I could get her to eat was Whiskas and then last week I accidentally picked up Whiskas casserole. I have just bought a box of normal Whiskas which she now won't touch.

Usually when she went through her fussy stages I would just leave the food in her bowl and she would eventually eat it but now Milo will eat whatever she doesn't eat. He seems to prefer eating from her bowl and she just allows it!

Yes the DreamiesGrin. As soon as I took them out the cupboard last night he was running behind Luna and they both sat on my lap eating them. That's the first they've both sat on my lap at the same time Grin. Had to be quick getting them to Luna though as Milo is so greedy he's going to end up double the size of her Shock

Oh Couldn't you just put him on a butty and eat him all up. I love the second picture of him with his little tongue sticking outGrin
Luna will come around. She's bound to be a bit jealous, i suppose. Give it a few weeks she'll be mothering him.

Jupiter13 · 28/07/2019 22:09

So cute.☺️

Newcatmum · 28/07/2019 22:44

Awwlookatmybabyspider it only took her a couple of days have a look at the more recent photos. She's always mothering him it's so cute Grin.

Here's Luna when I first got her with her tongue out too.

I was just about to apologise for all the cat photos for a second there then remembered where I was Grin

I just saw the picture of her grooming him.
You've actually killed me with cutenesses

TheLongRider · 29/07/2019 17:52

My black rescue cat doesn't purr audibly either. You have to touch her on the side of the neck to feel the vibrations.

As for Milo the Gannet, he's got big ears to grow into!

Newcatmum · 29/07/2019 18:39

He started purring the same day I wrote that post Grin

He has got big ears hasn't heShock. I said that to my mum and she disagreed I think she was worried she would offend me if she agreed 😂
