My cat just ate a whole bag of Dreamies

I have just come home to find my cat outside in the garden with a previously full (now empty) bag of Dreamies that she's managed to get down from the shelf. She has polished off the lot! Shock

Should I be worried? Are they going to give her an upset stomach or anything? Confused She's now purring away on my lap looking very pleased with herself.

I bet she is! She might have a runny bottom tomorrow.

My 2 always have a bag each!! So greedy but wherever I hide any they howl on until I give in like a good dc slave!! Need to start just getting 1 bag!

Holenewme · 07/07/2019 19:54

My cat has done this s couple of times. He’s always seemed fine but then done the biggest, sloppiest, stinkiest crap the next day Envy

Daffodil2018 · 07/07/2019 22:46

Eurgh. That's something to look forward to tomorrow then! Envy

She's such a greedy little piglet. We'd been away for the weekend and she barely looked up when I came out into the garden as she was so busy hoovering up the final dreamies. Whoever called it kitty crack was on to something!

They make my cat constipated!!

TheSecondMrsAshwell · 08/07/2019 13:11

Ashycat did that once. She promptly barfed them up all over my sewing machine in the spare room. I didn't find it till it had dried like concrete.

You need to lock your food cabinets. 😱

be careful - my cattery warned me about 2 many dreamies as they had an owner with a poorly cat that wouldn't eat anything but dreamies and he developed kidney trouble as he'd consumed too much protein (I think) - the owner was however feeding it dreamies for breakfast lunch & dinner over a period of time but i'd stick to the instructions to be on the safe side

Luminous yellow puke was my introduction into the world of Dreamies overdose.

No more than four. Ever.

TroubleWithNargles · 08/07/2019 15:59

Make sure she's got plenty of water to hand, mine wolfs them down at high speed and 10 minutes later voms them up again still half-dry.

Ski37 · 08/07/2019 18:08

My cat did this once when the cat sitter was feeding him- he somehow managed to get onto the shelf and into the tub I kept them in- she found the empty tub on the floor the next morning next to a very satisfied cat. No ill effects other than he didn’t eat his breakfast that morning .... but then again seeing some of the carcasses he leaves on the patio he must have a stomach like a dustbin!

steppemum · 08/07/2019 21:53

the packet says max 20.

you really shouldn't let a cat eat a whole packet.

They are crack cocaine for cats

Toddlerteaplease · 08/07/2019 23:07

I can't believe that they can eat up to 20 a day! Mine get 4 or 5. Can tell when cheddar has had to many as her eyes get brown marks round them, then I find a hide pile of pile!

Toddlerteaplease · 08/07/2019 23:07

*huge pile of puke!

DramaAlpaca · 08/07/2019 23:12

Mine ate a whole bag one Christmas day his Christmas present He was copiously sick afterwards. Not nice.
