Stan sits by the french doors, then looks up at me and yowls. Several times.
I get up and open the doors.
Stan doesn't move.
Stan looks at me as though I'm an idiot.
I stand with the open doors looking down at Stan feeling like an idiot.
About ten seconds later, Stan saunters out the (still open) door.
Bastard. Grin

Currently it’s farting - am sitting next to the chocolate Asian who’s letting rip with serial silent but deadly ones .

MsMarvellous · 15/06/2019 17:31

He will extend is claws and delicately hooks one of the sharpest into my nostril until he can hook inside and tug in order to get my attention. Bastard Grin

AwkwardSquad · 15/06/2019 17:36

Kneading my legs with claws extended. Ouch.

Chancewouldbeafinethlng · 15/06/2019 18:28

Pooing on the carpet! He can use the litter tray fine but he loves a luxury poo on the carpet.

Pascha · 15/06/2019 18:37

Leaves fur everywhere Hmm.

Allergictoironing · 15/06/2019 18:37

Lying on the back of the sofa JUST out of reach, wanting belly rubs. I need to lean across and stretch my arm enough so I can get to the belly, and after 5 mins my arm is aching & starting to seize up.

And sitting on the floor just out of reach watching me and occasionally making a quiet squeak (mine are very quiet at the best of times. Obviously wanting SOMETHING, but I have no idea what it is. I can get impatience vibes pouring out of her, but no indication what she's waiting for.

With Boycat it's wanting his bed time cuddles and again settling just out of comfortable reach so I have to either prop myself up on one arm & stretch, or get out & lie on top of the bed with him.

Whyknot · 15/06/2019 18:51

When he wants to go out he comes in to the lounge, stands on his back legs, looks at you, then drags his claws down the wallpaper Angry.

Dh, dc and I race to open the door once he gets to the look stage, sadly we're not always quick enough. Wallpaper is ruined.

MaMisled · 15/06/2019 19:00

I work nights and when I snuggle up for my two hour nap after, three of them want to sleep ON MY FACE!

YesQueen · 15/06/2019 19:02

Being vocal. Constantly. He's sat whining at the minute as "mama is STARVING me to death, only had 5 pouches today"

Mia184 · 15/06/2019 19:05

Waking me after she has just woken up. Even it is 4am!

Fucktuates · 15/06/2019 19:06

Leave hair all over every item of workwear and school uniform we own

Toddlerteaplease · 15/06/2019 19:12

Making biscuits on my face when I'm trying to sleep and not burying her horrific smelling poo, looking st you Cheddar. Snorg is an angel and Has no bad habits!

MsMightyTitanAndHerTroubadours · 15/06/2019 19:19

bursting in through doors, heaven forbid he should pass either way through the door without leaving it flung back on its hinges

his sister likes to confine her unreasonable demands to food...her favourite trick is to demand her breakfast with her pretty manners and delicate miaowing, and the second it is in the bowl she goes out.

LesserBohemian · 15/06/2019 19:20

Cat 1. Not burying stinky poop on the occasions he goes in the tray over night.

Cat 2. Bringing in mice in the middle of the night.

Both: Refusing to eat what we put down if they have been served that flavour within the last 48hrs. Hmm

burninglikefire · 15/06/2019 22:08

One of mine persistently attacks the window sealant - not sure which one because it only happens when I am out. On reflection they could be working as a team?

Fozzleyplum · 15/06/2019 22:20

Rumble is a hunter, who has been thwarted by the bell on his collar. He has resorted to sitting very still on the fence, before launching himself on an unsuspecting pigeon below, squashing it. It's a disgusting sight, as is the inevitable "pigeon arse with attached protruding legs" which he leaves on the lawn.

If I won't let Dotty out first thing in the morning (I wait til about 9.30 as we live quite near a road and it's much quieter after 9.30), she comes into my office and makes as much of a pain of herself as she can. This includes pulling all the paper out of my printer, and climbing on the bookshelf so she can reach my pinboard, pulling the pins out and dropping them on the floor.

Fozzleyplum · 15/06/2019 22:25

Dotty also wakes us up by washing our eyebrows. I should be thankful that she hasn't adopted the habit of a cat my mother once had. He would show her how much he loved her by dropping a still-twitching rat on her face during the night.

IWannaSeeHowItEnds · 15/06/2019 22:31

Mine scratches off all the window sealant and scales the blinds. She also tried to climb in places where there is no space for her, resulting in lots of broken stuff that she knock on the floor.
She has also taken an irrational dislike of certain ornaments and will climb shelves specifically to knock them on the floor. She also dislikes things bring out in the wrong place and will purposely throw them on the floor.

catzrulz · 16/06/2019 00:24

DoingItForTheKids Oh yes, the old I'm soooooo thirsty, need the tap on now show. Then sits and watches the water. Repeat several hundred times a day.
Ours also does the meow, meow, meow and running through legs to let us know she's just used her litter tray, and it needs emptied NOW or sooner, the only good thing is we usually know before the smell lands.
Just as well we all love the furry assholes, eh?

HelloJackieYouLookNice · 16/06/2019 07:29

Sitting on the dining table staring at me eating breakfast as if they haven’t just been fed. Particularly as Dcat usually refuses what’s in her bowl and stares at my food instead Hmm

Dkitten also tries to suckle my dressing gown. The noise goes through me and I feel really mean for stopping her (she was found abandoned at a few days old so I assume it’s because she didn’t really have a mummy Sad) but I hate it! We’ve taken to leaving muslins around the house and encourage her to suck on those. Still noisy but at least I stay dry!

The same kitten also watched dh attach a corner scratching mat to the door she was destroying before staring at us as she deliberately avoids it, stretches out on the floor and scratches the door in the few centimetres left exposed below it!

MsTSwift · 16/06/2019 07:34

We have two adorable little kittens who get up to all sorts! Dd put one of them on the naughty step for fighting her sister and was most disappointed when she ran off - supernannys techniques definitely don’t work with kittens. Funniest was when one jumped on the hoover on button both jumped 6 feet!

urbanmist · 16/06/2019 07:34

Crying at me until I get up to give food .. then immediately going back to (my) bed to sleep it off.

Poor positioning on the litter try so that wee goes over the edge on to the floor.

UnRavellingFast · 16/06/2019 09:42

Haha this thread has cheered me up. I love that bunch of flowers 😂

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 16/06/2019 10:24

Basil sitting on my chest this morning in bed while I was browsing mumsnet biting my fingers and the phone.

UnRavellingFast · 16/06/2019 10:34

We worship our little tyrant so much that we find ourselves admiring his cast off claws Confused
