I’m going to buy some new bedding, if you use fitted sheets can you test something for me please?

If you put a fitted sheet over a duvet can you cover the duvet up?. I only have flat sheets so I can’t check.

I’ve got a huge quilted throw but he burrows up under it and my duvet together with the throw is too thick to get under the mattress.

I’m thinking of buying a waterproof fitted sheet to put over the duvet in the mornings. Even last summer he was coming in with wet paws 🐾

I want to have white bedding again.

I have a (slightly padded) mattress protector on my bed and can barely just get a deep fitted sheet to fit over that and the mattress. So definitely wouldn't be able to do that here but it may depend on your mattress and the thickness of your duvet.

It’s a thick duvet...plan b is a waterproof duvet cover put on all day but they are not cheap.

Not a hood idea. You need to let the bed air. Better go to plan d: shutting the bedroom door.

BTW a fitted sheet will fit over duvet and mattress if your mattress is a fairly thin one, 20cm, say. But they will not fit tightly and determined doggo would still be able to burrow under.

I use a flat sheet. King size on a double bed. Cat can’t get in when it’s all tucked in.

I think that’s the solution! I can just get a really cheap one and tuck it in.

Thank you, I will try that. The absorptive powers of my cats paws really need to be investigated, they could suck an oil spill up.
