My sweet little black girl, Olive has been missing since last Sunday (26th) from CV31 area. She's 2 years old this Thursday and a very petite, timid little thing. She never goes far from the house (usually just in next doors garden) and is fiercely loyal to me. She sits on me every evening purring like an engine until I go to bed then she sleeps with me on the bed. She loves to snuggle with my daughter as well and she always makes her smile.
We last saw her Sunday morning at breakfast and then she went out.
We've put up posters all round the village, gone door-to-door in the immediate streets and contacted all the vets/shelters etc. We just can't understand what could have happened to her. It's just baffling.
I need some hope that her sweet little face will appear at the cat flap any day now - that she will just turn up again like nothing has happened like so many cats do.
But the more days that go by, the worse I feel and the more I start to think that the worst has happened. I can't bear to think that she's suffering somewhere. She is microchipped but no distinguishing features unfortunately so we've had a lot of false alarms with other black cats in our village. 😢💔

Please give me hope that my little cat will return

Over the years have had several cats go missing then turn up. One piece of advice we were given when my visiting son's cat disappeared last Christmas was to go outside every evening at dusk ( sound carries well then as less noise) and call the cat's name every couple of minutes for about 20 minutes. Cats, especially neutered ones tend not to wander far and whatever reason caused them to leave ( scared by another cat, curiosity...) are often somewhere near at hand. We found my son's one just up the road after a couple of weeks!
Hope yours comes back soon.
