What!! You dare to shut him out of the room you are in?? You are a very bad cat slave Grin

SneakyGremlins · 30/04/2019 15:46

The bathroom door is the only door in the entire flat! Grin

Cheddar does this if I have a bath or a shower.
Paws On my knee if I'm having a wee. Honestly the fuss she makes you'd think it was her having a shower!

At least he's cute Grin

Just to warn you, my two started doing that way before I twigged that I was pregnant.

They weren't at all happy for a good year after DC appeared.

Could it be hormonal?

SneakyGremlins · 30/04/2019 20:16

I doubt it? I've been stressed lately though...

It probably makes him feel better when he can see you.

OMG they are noisy cats!

grincheux · 01/05/2019 14:25

Grinchcat simply must be there for any occasion involving the toilet, especially if you're a guest. I can't explain it either.

YesQueen · 01/05/2019 14:28

Mine looks disgusted and stalks off if I need the toilet. No interest in the bathroom at all, I think he's broken

Ginkythefangedhellpigofdoom · 01/05/2019 21:54

Mine does the same but she also demands I lean down and stroke her while I'm "toileting"

It might be a coincidence so I don't want to worry you but it coincided with her being ill with hyperthyroidism and kidney disease. The first noticeable symptoms were yowling but it's unlit he's young. My old girl was 13.

Arthur insists he keeps anyone company when toileting, showering or bathing. We don't have locks so he can easily push open a closed door. He will helpfully hop up on the cistern when you are taking your time, and sometimes balance on the towel rail and inspect what you are doing (lovely). He is also very keen on helping dry you when you come out of the shower/bath. He will rub around your legs and lick your feet. When you sit on the toilet to dry off, and remove the piles of fur he has left on your legs, he will jump on your lap and settle down for a nap.

Cats are weird.

Beachbodynowayready · 02/05/2019 15:14

Actually read an article last night about ddogs following to the bathroom /loo and apparently it's because they feel it's a family place to go and they are family too!!
Suppose it's the same for dcats??

Gingerkittykat · 02/05/2019 15:18

I frequently have both cats crying/ scratching outside the bathroom door.

I sometimes let them in, they hate it and immediately want back out again.

They then sit outside yowling for me to come out.

One loves to drink from the running tap in the sink, since he drinks very little I let him do this.

Iamnobirdandnonetensnaresme · 02/05/2019 15:24

Those Siamese!!! One doesn't like the shower the other doesn't like the noise the other is making

agnurse · 03/05/2019 20:37

Him nice boy.

Gatsby likes to come in when I'm on the loo. He nudges around my legs. (He was rejected by his mother and hand reared; when we adopted him at 2 months old he promptly decided that I'm his mum Grin)

Jayda likes to sit on the edge of the bathtub and climb on me when I'm having a bath. Sometimes she'll sit on the edge and dangle her tail in the water!
