Whole house smells of wee

The cat is 5. Never wee’d inside but since the demise of the dog, who although she hated kept the garden clear of the neighbours cats, she’s clearly stressed

She’s had a few bouts of cystitis. Treated and seemingly cleared up. We’ve reintroduced a litter tray (which she never used once she was allowed outside from a kitten). She’s got a feliway.

She must be weeing somewhere. the whole house stinks. We’ve seen her kind of ‘marking’ tail up and twitching and kind of shuffling her back legs a few times recently (never before) but when o look afterwards there’s no drops of wee, I don’t think anything is coming out when she does it, but that’s weird behaviour right? For a neutered girl?

I can’t locate any actual pools of wee to clean up

Not sure what to do to a) help her relax and b) get rid of the piss stink

If shes marking her territory.the wee will be on the wall even if its just few drops. Our spayed female wiggled like this against walls.does she have a UTI if its smelly

She shouldn’t have a uti as she’s finished her course of treatment abc is having a preventative thing each week

So I’m going to have to wash every single walk, door and bit of furniture 😱

Check soft things... When one of mine did this she was using a fluffy rug, a cat bed that was on the floor and a towel that had fallen on the floor and been left there for a while out of sight.

Basically anything that's kind of vaguely litter tray shaped and has some texture to it...

You could buy a black light and that will show up urine marks

Ooo good idea with the light. She’s definitely pissed in my husbands work boots but it must be in other places too.
