Please help. Cat has had personality transport since we moved house.

We moved 2 and a half weeks ago. We have 2 six year old cats, who were feral kittens ( so always been little weirdos!!)

One of them has always been so loving and curious. She adores me and always (well used to) sits with us in the evening, on my lap or next to me. She loves human contact and really does behave like a person. The other cat is aloof and never comes near us really.

I knew they would be freaked out by the move, but there is no change since we arrived at all. My friendly little girl sleeps on our bed all day then gets under the bed when we are in it at night. It is like she's depressed

Neither of them has even asked to go out- and they are very outdoorsy cats. I thought it would be hard to keep them in!They are eating ok, they purr if you stroke them but they are asleep 23 hours a day. The aloof one looks out of the window sometimes.

I am using Feliway and I try to tempt them with Dreamies. But they just come downstairs, eat the Dreamies and then go back up to bed.

I feel so guilty! They had an idyllic cat life where we lived before, with 20 acres of fields behind our house, a huge garden to play in etc. They have the same here if only they knew it.

I have tried playing with them but they look at me like I am mad. They have not played since they were kittens, whatever toys we give them.

What can I do? Thanks.

Could you take one of the blankets from your bed and put it downstairs on the sofa? It sounds like everything smells wrong to them and they just don't want to engage. I know your furniture should obviously still smell right, but perhaps they need a bit more in the way of familiarity?

Maybe a blanket from the bed on the windowsill? With some Dreamies for extra temptation?
