I knew it was time and I know I did the right thing but it's just so bloody hard.

I’m so sorry. It’s the only down side to having a beloved pet. Hugs to you.

hawleybits · 15/03/2019 23:54

I'm sorry for your loss 😻

ScreamingValenta · 15/03/2019 23:55

If you knew it was time, you've done the kindest thing you could do for him. It is so very hard, but let yourself grieve for him. You will gradually start to remember the happy times you had together and the time you shared, and that will become your abiding memory, rather than the sadness of your parting. Flowers

Thoughts are with you. xx Would put flowers but I haven't worked out how to do it!

DontCallMeCharlotte · 16/03/2019 00:04

Ah thank you everyone. You're all so kind.

We lost his brother last year and I can't believe for the first time in nearly 30 years I have no cat. I'm a cat lady. It's not right Sad

When the time is right, a new cat will come into your life - you'll know when it's the right time and the right cat, or even cats.

I'm so sorry for you and know your pain. We had to let our old boy go on Wednesday and I'm heartbroken, still crying 3 days later.

Your sensible head might know its the right thing to have done but your heart is showing how much you cared for him. Flowers Flowers

Sorry for your loss, my boy was pts last week, Lots of tears but start to remember all the joy he gave.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 17/03/2019 14:11

Thank you again. Yes, he and his brother gave us a huge amount of pleasure and they had ten years living in the country next a farm which they loved!

I would love to see a picture of him. I had to have my little girl euthanised 3 weeks ago. I was away having treatment and couldn't be with her but like you, it was the right thing to do. They will always have a special spot in our hearts

puddingisgood · 17/03/2019 19:49

I also had my furry best friend pts 3 weeks ago, and am still heartbroken. I cling to the knowledge that he was very well loved when he was here. Flowers

What a handsome puss he was.

It can be so hard to believe our fabulous furr friends are not with us anymore and the grief can be sharp and ongoing

Huge hugs to you, you were strong to let him go.

claragolightly · 25/03/2019 12:48
