Cat is driving my neighbours insane and I don’t know what to do!

I’ve had several people complain to me in the last month that he keeps diving into their cars the second they open the door, and then won’t let them catch him. One neighbour actually didn’t notice him until he appeared in her rear view mirror when she was halfway down the road, and nearly gave her a heart attack. Sometimes when they finally chuck him out he lies down in front of the car, presumably just to piss them off 🤦‍♀️. He does the jumping into the car thing with us too but after being late to school a few times I now tend to factor ‘five minutes to catch the bloody cat and get him out of the car’ into our journey times, but don’t see why anyone else should have to! Short of keeping him in (which makes him very depressed), how on earth do I stop him doing this!? He’s going to end up run over or lost somewhere random when he actually manages to stowaway successfully, or possibly just justifiably murdered!

Every time he gets in the car, spray him with water. He will then associate that with cars and stay well away! You could even give your neighbours a few water spray bottles so they learn to do it too. Every time he gets in the car, he gets sprayed!

He should learn pretty quick

Water spray and keep him in till 9am. Is his flap programmable?

Buy him some driving lessons and his own car! LOL 😂 this has put a smile on my face this morning I would love it if he jumped into my car, what a character! I would happily take him for a spin!

What they said above. Plus make sure he’s microchipped and details are up-to-date incase he does get taken For a ride.

Buy them all some dreamies so they can throw some onto the pavement and make a quick get away? Has he got a massive bell on his collar so they can hear him?
