The litter tray

Which wet foods are similar in texture to Applaws tins?

So my cat refuses anything that resembles chunks in gravy or jelly, and she also turned her nose up at Nature’s Menu. The only wet food she will entertain is Applaws - she seems to like the small tins and pate trays. She has dry too which she is less picky about.

Are there any foods with a similar texture to the Applaws that are a) complete and b) cheaper? We are hopefully taking in a kitten (company for current cat who is indoor) which means twice the food bill as I would prefer them to be on the same food.

Thank you!

I did buy Tesco frozen chicken pieces & used to defrost a bowl.each morning in the fridge, then steam them for 3-4 mins for Dcat.

It worked out veey cheap.

Canagan is great but yes, expensive.
How did I forget to mention Thrive, as pps said, another good option.

I thought I would update as I have just had this reply from Zooplus:

Good Morning, apologies for the delay in replying to your message. While we are of course planning for the various Brexit scenarios, we don’t so far have any expectations that we will have to significantly change our business model in the UK. As Applaws is a UK supplier we do not foresee any supply issues with this brand.

That's interesting... The orders are dispatched from a warehouse in Germany. Confused

Another food my cats love is the freeze dried food from Pure Petfood (from their own website), you rehydrate it at home with warm water to make each portion. Works out quite expensive for me with multiple cats but they get it every few days for one of their meals and absolutely love it.

That’s what I thought, but maybe they have a UK warehouse for the U.K. made brands? It wouldn’t make sense to take Applaws over to Germany and then ship it back?

Cosmo Nature was a success Grin

HiLife was sniffed and then ignored Hmm

And now she’s decided that Applaws pate does not meet her specific needs Hmm

Luckily the new kitten will eat literally anything and has been mopping up the leftovers Grin
