Is this food bad - or is the cat being (newly) fussy?

We've had our cat for just over a year and kept him on the same food as his breeders - which is special raw cat food (mince beef/chicken/lamb). He's always been very happy with it - until last week.
I bought a new batch which I store in the freezer and lasts about 5 weeks. I defrost it in the fridge and since the new batch he's stopped eating it. Just sniffs and turns away. So either he's trying it on (which seems a bit strange) or the whole batch I bought is bad? I did defrost a new one yesterday from a different box, thinking it was just one bad carton, but it seems not.
Anyone else had this sort of problem? Advise please...
He's our first cat, so I haven't had lots of experience.

Cats are fussy. It is quite normal. Some lickylicks or dreemies might work but don't count on it.

Cats can be very fussy. My chap will only eat Felix As Good As It Looks Doubley Delicious, and even then only certain flavours...

BUT

... you never know which flavours from one day to the next 'cause the furry bastard changes his mind.

You can stick with it and hope he'll give in, but tbh you'll probably break first and spend a fortune trying to find something he'll deem acceptable!

I find that they will eat it if they are hungry, but they are manipulative things.
