Cat coughing like he's bringing up fur balls; but no furballs

Doesn't do it frequently either (but just done it now). Never seen him bring up a fur ball.

Very healthy looking; eats and drinks and good weight. (He's four.)

Should I be concerned.

One of mine has always done it. I filmed it and showed the vet as it's exactly like you tube videos of feline asthma. But she said it wasn't. Doesn't seem to bother her.

Harry does this and I think it bothers us more that it bothers him! He coughs a bit, glares at me if I try to rub his back and walks off.

The vet said it could be feline asthma but doesn't want to put him through a biopsy if it doesn't bother him.

Ok interesting.

I'll keep an eye. He doesn't seem bothered.

My cat does this too. It's very odd but then she swallows and moves on with her life. Hope your puss is ok.

He's eating grass to. Can't say he's never done that before, but it's the first time I've seen him.

Hs behaviour is normal still. Whenever I'm gardening he likes to sneak up on me and pounce. Never quite understood why, maybe he things anything foraging through vegetation in his garden is prey!

Sounds like a bit of an upset stomach and a cold. My cat did a burby sneeze this morning but didn’t bring up anything. I heard they eat grass to settle their tummies.

Might be worth getting him checked out? Our cat was doing this and turned out she had grass stuck in her throat and up one of her nostrils! The Vet removed it and she was fine

My cat did this. It sounded as though he was smoking about 60 a day, but he never coughed anything up. He would then lick his lips and go about his business going back to sleep as though nothing had ever happened.
