Boy kitten hissing at girl kitten.

Girlcat has just got back this evening from being spayed. Boycat (previously done) has been mooching around all day, missing her. But now DH has caught him really hissing at her. She's cowering because she's probably a bit dazed and uncomfortable but I'm a bit wary of leaving them together overnight. Is this a thing or what? Any idea why he's suddenly taken against her?

It may be her smell from the procedure and the vets. I have two litter mates. Boy and girl. He was done first. The first night I brought her home, I did keep her in one room on her own. I just put a litter down in another room for him. I don't know if it was necessary or not. I was just a bit worried as he was quite physical and they did rough and tumble.

He got a good telling off from DH, I thought one of the kids had downstairs Grin

Don't have a spare litter tray but we're going to leave all the doors open instead of shutting them in together so that she can go somewhere else if she needs/wants to. Hopefully he'll calm down.

Can you make a litter tray out of a cardboard box, line it with a bin liner. I'd separate them tonight, she needs rest after her op.

I kept an eye on them overnight. They're both being super affectionate which made it quite hard to leave them and go back to bed! Now he's back to grooming her and playing with her, well, around her! She seems happy now.
