Do all boycats wolf their food down or just mine?

I've had three boys and they've all scoffed their food like starving Labradors They've all been rescue kitties but only one a true starving feral found at the side of the road.

My lady cats always sniff the food first, lick a bit of jelly off the wet food then delicately crunch a few biscuits

Newest boycat goes all Homer Simpson and actually makes 'omm nomm nomm' sounds when he eats, quite funny when it's combined with purring

My boy takes tiny bites. He is so dainty. He doesn’t gulp. Takes him a whole day to eat a packet. He is a fine weight though.

My girl cat literally inhales her wet food and runs in like Usain Bolt when she sees me waving the packet so it's not just boys. Only Sheba though as we had a 5 day standoff on the better quality stuff and she won by crapping in the middle of the sofa!

I can leave dry food down all day and they come back and forth during the day to eat it. They get half a pouch/ tin each 3 times a day and will easy most of it on one go but will then come back to finish off. 2 boys

Just my boycat then sigh He is wormed and fully-loved so guess he's just a greedy gut-bucket then. He's only 18 months old and only just lost his kittenish looks so guess he's just matured really.

My boy cat eats his so fast he nearly always pukes it back up again

Our boy wolfs his food down. He does like his grub! I have had 2 boy cats and 2 girl cats and the boys have been like hoovers with food the girls much slower! Not a wide sample I know.

Mine does too. Girlcat just stares at him like WTF dude? She's being spayed next week so we have to withhold food. Boycat is going to be very pissed off

I've just adopted a male adult tabby and his speed of eating varies according to how pleasureable he finds the food.
For a less preferred meal, he will take dainty bites.
And devour in gulps his faves.

I've never had a greedy female cat except for my first childhood cat who identified as a human and refused to eat cat food. She'd go on hunger strike for days then literally steal food off your plate, like Simon's Cat
