We have one cat, but I was wondering who can be crowned the owner slave of the person who has the most cats ( and to be believed a pic would win extra points )

TCN, I'm in awe of you and the charity you work with. I've been reading your posts for some time now and I know you go above and beyond every single day. You've been an inspiration to us so many times. Vinorosso, I know you also put yourself out there for the cats, also going above and beyond! There are so many people here on The Litter Tray who don't know how much they've helped us carry on.

The reward of getting head bumps and purrs from our feline friends makes it all worthwhile, doesn't it? Smile. (Yes, solidly under the paw here.)

Yay cat photos!!
MrsPawsitive to be honest I deal with the more fluffy side of it looking after the cats in the centre which is mostly a lot of cleaning! That said I do get strokes in when I can. However, I do hear some of the stories from the staff and really do despair of the attitude some people have towards animals as disposable items.
My phone has so many photos of cats I have met which is nice Smile

I’m in a country with very few organised animal rescue charities. I foster for a few of them but mostly do my own rescue. A friend found a 5-6 week old kitten in the street, dodging the cars last week. She managed to catch her and brought her to me. We had one day of her sitting in the box she came in, inside a cage, then slowly got her to accept a stroke on the ear, then on the third day I opened the cage and she jumped out for a cuddle Smile. I de-flea-ed and worked her, treated one eye which was a bit manky, and my friend put an ad on Facebook. Someone came forward the same day, and two days later she went to a fantastic new home.

Sometimes it works out Smile

Costacoffeeplease, I love a success story and you have one there!
Aw, she's a doll Smile.

Vinorosso, if you work with the public sometimes you hear and see things that are really hard to bear. I would find that a real challenge and that's why I admire what you do and what TCN does and Costa, too, anyone who volunteers and does fostering.

Just in our immediate neighborhood we've seen plenty of sad cases, without going into details.
But I've also seen some of these cats brought back from the brink with the help of our local vet and his helpers. Every success story you have keeps you going. I've seen neighbors start to get involved, too, every bit helps.

When you win a cat over and gain their trust and they start to believe you are on their side... that's the best feeling ever.
