feisty cat flea treatment strategies

Our cat has fleas. I am going to get some flea treatment this morning. However, my main problem is that our cat is a bit ... catty and hates being de-flead.

We have tried subtle moves, but she is wise to them. She seems to sense when we are up to something and bolts. She fights us when we try to scruff her and, if she gets away, she hides, usually after a manic clawing session.

Moreover, we have two more cats and once they sense something is happening, they run and hide (so much for cat loyalty!).

Has anyone got any tips on how to administer the flea treatment without losing a yard of skin or spending half the day trying to coax the cats out of hiding?

(She is watching me now. I think she knows I am planning something).

Have a look at the spot on treatment strategies thread. Most of the best flea treatments out there at present are spot on ones anyway, that can be bought over the counter at a pharmacy or somewhere like Pets At Home.

My cats can hear me take the blister pack out of the box and they're off, so watching with interest!
