I've had my lovely bean since March, during which time she has managed the following:

  1. Got stuck up a 60ft tree & let go after 6 hours (thankfully unhurt)
  2. Managed to squeeze out a top floor window & escape by jumping down to the fence (no injury)
  3. Had a mouth abcess which required emergency surgery (on a weekend obvs!)
  4. Found a cat friend who she lets wander in the house & share her food
  5. Been attacked by a dog, requiring a mad dash to the emergency vet, 2 nights in the vets, untold tests etc, crate rest for 3 weeks, and a hefty vet bill (thankfully only had some soft tissue damage & a couple of puncture wounds)
  6. Had above mentioned cat friend to stay for a sleepover, unbeknown to us, then woke us at 5ish playing together!
  7. And tonight I've found something embedded in her paw 🤦‍♀️ so we're off to the vets in the morning.

I adore her, I really do, but I'm starting to think she isn't normal! The vets number is top of my 'most called' on my phone. They know me by voice when I ring now! I dred to think what the insurance company think! I imagine they wonder if I have the cat version of munchausen by proxy!

Please tell me I'm not alone in having such a crazy cat! (Who consequencly I've just found sleeping in the wardrobe!)

Mine ran up £15,000 in vets bills in 18 months!
Snorg got pancreatitis and was critically ill for a week. £5000
A month later Fatty got her mouth stuck open, happened another 3 times so had CT scans and surgery at a vair posh hospital! £7000.
Fatty then got diagnosed with HCM abs Snorg has a mild case of it! £600 each visit to the cardiologist. And five lots of tablets per day. (Took them like a star) she was PTS in August. As she then went into renal failure.
Fortunately new cat has managed to behave so far!!

It was a bit rough. But they are/ were such wonderful cats that it doesn't matter. I got very lucky with all three of them!
