Anyone want a free cat? Mine just ate the string off a chicken. How he managed to get it out of the bin is a mystery, it has a lock to keep the toddler out. He's a bit on the chubby (obese) side and had experienced a vet-mandated reduction in his food rations which he is not happy about. He's very vocal in his displeasure and has turned into a sneaky food thief. So I've threathened to rehome him to a house with big dogs. No good offer rejected!

Ah bless his lil chubby face... do you have a pic so we can see what we might be taking on? Grin

Rockbird · 18/10/2018 20:22

I don't have big dogs but I have two kittens who are useless and won't let me cuddle them. If he's cuddly I'll give him anything he wants!

Mine ate the string off the beef joint on Tues! So far no I'll effects !
It must be national string eating awareness week for cats!

Icklepup · 18/10/2018 20:25

Aww. He looks like a monster cat. Ok, you’ve twisted my arm, I’ll have him.

WindyWednesday · 18/10/2018 20:30

Love the formal wear.

Pebblespony · 18/10/2018 20:30

Great! I'll pop him in the post. I'm sure he'll be fine.

We are vegetarians so no chicken string here.

Pebblespony · 18/10/2018 20:32

He's bringing his own.

YABU OP, he's skin and bones!Shock

Sadly he can't come here, he'd gang up with PuffinCat and teach her bad manners probably no worse than she currently is tbf

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/10/2018 20:37

Keep an eye on him, in case it cheesewires him.

Pebblespony · 18/10/2018 20:40

He's going to the vet tomorrow anyway. He has a bit of nerve damage which means one of his eyes won't close properly but it seems to be slowly getting better. I'll get them to have a look at him to make sure that the string isn't doing any damage. I must keep the vets in business.

Yes do keep an eye - you know how it is when a drawstring gets stuck in an item of clothing? All ruched up and lumpy? The more you pull..... its highly unlikely but possible that string can do that to intestines. So if hes off colour especially vomiting its a trip to the vet. Probably be fine though

TroysMammy · 18/10/2018 20:45

I'll have him so I can sing "he's fat, he's round, his belly's on the ground" Grin

ItsJustTheOneSwanActually · 18/10/2018 20:50

Just so you know, when it comes out the other end it comes out like a bead necklace. And you might have to assist....

Pebblespony · 18/10/2018 21:02

Ugh. Poor fatty cat.

I'll swap you for Cheddar. I was away last night and had the best nights sleep in weeks.
